NP EN ISO 9001:2015 certification and Good Distribution Practices
It was with great enthusiasm and involvement that EXTRA voluntarily initiated contacts with Portuguese Certification Association (APCER) and its partner IQNet – The International Certification Network, with the intention of applying for certification in the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standards and Good Distribution Practices for Medicines for Human Use and Medical Devices.
Such a choice was clear from the outset, given the demands of the national market, the globalization of which we are a part, and the existing intention, as there was a need to establish a clear commitment to internal processes, standardizing procedures, attitudes, and behaviours, and giving EXTRA visibility in the national market and among other entities that regulate our activity. This decision allows us to stand out from the competition and elevate EXTRA to the level of international companies where it positions itself.
This now achieved challenge is the first step of many to come, where each step will reflect continuous improvement with internal and external impact, particularly in communication with customers and their satisfaction, in new markets, in increasing market share, gradually improving in a sustainable way the competitiveness of EXTRA.

Testimony Extra Transportes | NP EN ISO 9001:2015 Certification and Good Distribution Practices
It was with great enthusiasm and involvement that EXTRA voluntarily initiated contacts with APCER, with the intention of applying for certification in the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standards and Good Distribution Practices for Medicines for Human Use and Medical Devices. Despite having prior knowledge of APCER through training sessions conducted over the years by this entity, it is noteworthy to record the quality of their trainers and the dedication invested to ensure that trainees acquire knowledge and not just certified attendance.
This was the decisive moment that led us to choose an entity like APCER, for being credible and transparent, to support our aspirations of certification in these standards, assured that it is an added value in the quality and operational efficiency of our company, fostering organizational awareness and involvement of all individuals, minimizing risks and contributing to improved customer satisfaction.
Such a choice was clear from the outset, given the demands of the national market, the globalization of which we are a part, and the existing intention, as there was a need to establish a clear commitment to internal processes, standardizing procedures, attitudes, and behaviors, and giving EXTRA visibility in the national market and among other entities that regulate our activity.
We would like to thank everyone we had the opportunity to interact with, particularly the excellent Auditing Team, which demonstrated exceptional professionalism, knowledge of this sector, harmony, and a friendly demeanor in dealings, which we are pleased to publicly acknowledge and testify.

The atmosphere of insecurity in the Suez Canal / Red Sea and the implementation of an Emission Trading System are causing constraints:
➔ Since January 1st, Shipping Companies have been applying surcharges per TEU, varying depending on the route and type of equipment.
➔ Following hostile attacks in the Suez Canal / Red Sea, most Shipping Companies are deciding for alternative routes Europe-Eastbound and vice versa (namely via the Cape of Good Hope), resulting in significant delays and rate increases.
Given these circumstances, significant tariff instability is expected until the situation normalizes. We are closely monitoring all developments and devising strategies to minimize the impact of these circumstances on our clients. For more information, please contact us.
